Tuzer dance Center General Policies

BALLET GIRLS GENERAL (ALL LEVELS)

• Dancers in ALL levels MUST have their hair in a VERY NEAT AND SECURE ballet bun.
• Hair nets are required. No loose hair!! No bangs.
• Short hair requires a black or white stretch headband with all hair pulled away from the face.
• No jewelry, except small earrings. (For all forms of dance)
• No long nails or colored nail polish. (For all forms of dance)

PRE-SCHOOL DIVISION

• Pale Pink Leotard (Short Sleeved) - Brand: Danskin Style # 2905 Color: Theatrical Pink
• Pink matte tights (non-shiny- no holes)
  Style # 387 Color: Classical Pink or Theatrical Pink
• Pink ballet shoes- with elastic sewn across the foot
• Black tap shoes

ALL BALLET CLASSES (LEVELS BEGINNER through 6A)

• Danskin black, tank leotard - Brand :Danskin Style # 9793 (Child sizes T, S I, M, L)Style # 9783 (Adult sizes P, S, M, L)
• Black Hip Alignment belt (1/2” adjustable) These will be available for purchase at the studio for $4.
• Pink footed matte tights (non-shiny – no holes) (Also available online at danskin.com)
• Pink leather ballet shoes – with elastic over the top of the foot!
• No black tights or dance skirts or shirts. No leg warmers. No jewelry allowed.

BALLET (BOYS)

• White, tight-fitting crew neck t-shirt with black tights or black shorts.
• Thin white socks and white leather ballet shoes.
• Dance belts for upper levels.
• No baggy pants or jazz pants!

JAZZ/LYRICAL

• Any tight-fitting appropriate dancewear.
• Any color leotard or unitard.
• Jazz pants, tights or unitard.
• No baggy clothing or street clothes of any kind.
• Black jazz shoes. Hair in ponytail.

MODERN

• Solid color leotard with footless black tights.
• Dance Paws or Foot Undeez.
• Hair in ponytail.

 CHARACTER

• Any style black leotard, with black tights.
• Black character shoes with 1 ¼ inch heels.
• You will need to have a calf-length black character skirt.
• Hair in bun.

THEATRICAL MOVEMENT

• Any color leotard and tights.
• Black tap shoes (flat style).
• Hair in bun.
• No street clothes! No baggy shirts or pants.
