Laura Price
Laura offers more than forty years involvement in dance as a dancer, teacher, choreographer, studio owner and past president of Irving Ballet Company. She began her dance training in Dallas as a three year old and has had the opportunity to study with many wonderful teachers over the years. Two Dallas dance icons that continue to be an inspiration to Laura are Jackie Troup Miller and Buster Cooper. Laura performed with several local civic dance and theatre companies over the years in such productions as Anything Goes, 42nd Street, Whoopee, Peter and the Wolf, A Chorus Line, and The Nutcracker. Laura is in her 18th year as the tap instructor for Tuzer Dancenter and continues in her studies attending the many master classes and tap workshops offered. A member of Texas Association of Teacher of Dance since 1981, Laura is currently a “tap happy” member of the Rhythm Junkies. Kristianne Anton-Green
Kristianne began her dance training in classical ballet at Tuzer Dancenter. Because of her talent, she received a scholarship to the Houston Ballet Academy and began her professional career at the age of 15. She moved to Arizona in 1994.
Kristianne’s many, varied, and extraordinary accomplishments throughout the country in both performance and instruction include work at: Moonslice Dance Theater, The Dance Consortium, Center Dance Ensemble, Scorpius Dance Theater, Metropolitan Arts Institute, New School for the Arts and Academics, Dupree Dance Expo, Scottsdale Community College, Destiny Dance International, Classic Image Dance, KJ Dance Designs, Allen Academy of Dance, Dallas Power House of Dance, and University of Texas at Dallas.
Kristianne was featured in two films, Tank Girl and Anastasia, and also appears in commercials and print ads. She currently lives in Plano and has a beautiful daughter, Akiva, who is almost three years old.
Rebecca Shaw
grew up in Fort Worth, TX and studied with Gayle Corkery, Letitia Grey, Li Chou, and Carrie Cheng at The Gayle Corkery School of Ballet. Gayle Corkery featured Rebecca at the age of seven in her instructional video series for young ballerinas called “Mermaids and Butterflies.” At the tender age of twelve she spent her first summer intensive experience with the Joffrey Ballet. Both summers of her middle school career were invested in dancing with the School of American Ballet in Manhattan, NY; under the instruction of Suki Schorer, Katrina Killian, Sheryle Ware, Peter Boal, Andrei Kramarevsky, and the late Madame Tumkovsky. Rebecca then performed La Bayadere at the Gerald R. Ford Amphitheater in Vail, CO with the World Masters at Vail; who selected a mere 32 dancers to participate out of the United States. Her high school dance career was completed with the return to the School of American Ballet: Winter Term in 2000 and a professional opportunity with Ballet Austin by Margot Brown in 2002. During Rebecca’s time with Gayle she took many master classes from Suki Schorer, Bruce Wood, and Fernando Bujones. Rebecca’s college experience consisted of performing with the Mississippi Dance Company from 2003-2005 with Jennifer Mizenko while attending the University of Mississippi; where she completed her Business Communications Minor. Returning to Texas she then toured with the Chris & Candy Productions Tour in 2006 to cities such as Kansas City, New Orleans, Boston, and Arkansas. At the University of North Texas Rebecca Leigh completed a major in General Studies with focuses in Dance, English, and Elementary Education. In her spare time Rebecca regularly attends classes at Contemporary Ballet Dallas and performs with the company every spring.Yvette Bauder
Classically trained, Yvette has been part of the dance world for over 30 years. She has performed in many ballets, such as Sleeping Beauty, Swan Lake, Coppelia, and the Nutcracker in Houston, Nashville, and Dallas.
Switching gears in the early 90’s, Yvette was chosen to be an “Elite Dancer” with the Dallas Cowboys Cheerleader Show Group. She performed for two seasons in London, Paris, Tokyo, Okinawa, and Seoul. She also danced in two Super Bowls during her DCC days.
More recently, Yvette has taught for KJ Dance Designs in Plano and been the Owner/Director of Stonebridge School of Ballet in McKinney. Her ballet choreography has won top awards and her students have been accepted by prestigious summer dance programs at the Kirov Ballet and Joffrey Ballet Incentives.
Yvette says, “To motivate and challenge my students to love and use ballet as part of their foundation for fitness and other dance styles is important to me. For those of them who will become dancers, it is my pleasure to have a part in that journey.”
